Friday Update – February 8, 2019

Good Afternoon and Happy Friday!

This week, we are celebrating Partner’s Consulting’s anniversary! Our company turned lucky number 13 on Wednesday, February 6th. So in honor of our birthday, here is the story of how Partner’s Consulting came to be:

In 2006, Peggy was a successful account executive and top sales producer for an IT consulting company. With a husband and young daughter at home, she longed to strike a healthy balance between her career and her family. Since she had always dreamed of owning her own business, she decided it was time to put that idea into action.

She launched Partner’s Consulting, using an executive search approach to place full-time employees at CHOP. By the end of the year, she hired the first addition to the team- senior recruiter, Kristin Beverly. Business was booming!

Everybody knows opening your own business is a risky venture, but did you know that about 50% of small businesses fail by the end of their fifth year?

In 2008, when the market shifted and companies were no longer hiring full time employees, Peggy switched tactics and brought her executive search style to the staffing world, focusing on contract technical roles. Her new strategy paid off, Partner’s Consulting continued to grow and  built its reputation as a company determined to work in partnership with its clients and consultants for mutual success. Partner’s was certified as a woman-owned business by WBENC on July 16, 2008.

Since then, we’ve welcomed new employees and consultants to our team, ranked on the Inc. 5000 and Philadelphia 100 multiple times, and earned numerous awards, including the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce’s Professional Services Excellence Award in 2017.

It takes an exceptional group of individuals working together to achieve as much as Partner’s has over the past 13 years, and the support and pride our team has shown over the years is greatly appreciated.

tl;dr: Peggy started Partner’s in 2006, the company overcame obstacles and grew and won lots of awards and we love our awesome team. Thank you. 😊
